Defined
As a Territory Account Executive, you will own a defined New York Tri-State territory, driving new business acquisition with a boots-on-the-ground sales motion. You'll close six-figure deals at SMB velocity, manage the full sales cycle in 2 5 weeks, and partner closely with BDRs to maximize pipeline conversion. This is a mission-driven role helping family-owned grocery stores modernize and thrive.

Background
Great candidates for this role may come from:
- 2+ years of closing experience with proven quota attainment
- Experience selling technology or services into SMB/retail (POS, payments, Client, delivery services, F&B tech, etc.)
- Field sales experience with comfort driving 100+ miles/day for prospecting and in-person pitches
- Grocery or retail exposure, or direct work in grocery environments
- Hyper-growth startup experience and comfort with change
What You'll Do
- Drive new business acquisition in the New York Tri-State territory
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close with 2 5 week cycles
- Build strong relationships with grocery store owners, speaking to P&L and margins
- Collaborate with BDRs to maximize territory pipeline
- Translate a complex solution (POS, payments, inventory management) into simple value for non-technical buyers
- Exceed a $1M annual quota across SaaS and payments
Skills and Competencies
Required:
- 2+ years of closing experience with strong track record of quota attainment
- Comfort with field sales and high daily activity
- Ability to hold commercial conversations about P&L, gross margins, and labor
- Hunger, curiosity, and resilience to thrive in a fast-growth environment
- Based in the New York Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT)
Desired:
- Experience selling POS or payments solutions (Toast, Square, Clover, etc.)
- Grocery/retail domain knowledge
- Hyper-growth startup experience with comfort in fast-change environments
- Proven top-performer history (leaderboard placement, accelerators earned)
