Strategic Finance Lead
Job Description
We are partnered with a fast-growing technology company in the healthcare and AI space to hire a Strategic Finance Lead who will design the financial and operational systems that connect how the company operates to how it grows. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of finance, data, and strategy—ideal for someone who wants to build the foundation of a scaling organization from the ground up.
Why This Role Is Essential
This company is expanding rapidly, backed by top-tier investors and led by experienced second-time founders. The Strategic Finance Lead will own company-wide financial modeling, forecasting, and revenue operations, directly influencing planning, capital strategy, and growth. You'll collaborate across product, go-to-market, and operations teams to turn data into decisions and stories that guide the next stage of scale.
Background
Ideal candidates for this role have:
- 2–6 years of experience in strategic finance, business operations, or corporate development within a high-growth or technology company
- 1.5+ years in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital (strong modeling and analytical foundation)
- Proven ability to partner with founders, GTM leaders, and investors to translate data into actionable insights
- Deep financial modeling skills and comfort building forecasts and dashboards from scratch
- Systems-oriented thinking—viewing finance as information architecture, not just accounting
- Evidence of startup mentality, entrepreneurial projects, or cross-functional ownership
What You'll Do
- Build and own the company's core financial model, including forecasts, margins, and scenario planning
- Design and implement revenue operations infrastructure for real-time usage tracking and renewals
- Partner with GTM and product leaders to connect experiments to measurable financial outcomes
- Lead company-wide planning, KPI reviews, and investor reporting
- Quantify growth constraints and design cross-functional solutions
- Shape the company's capital and fundraising narrative through data-driven insights
Skills and Competencies
Required
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting capability
- Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.G., SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar)
- Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High ownership mindset and comfort in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Willingness to work closely with leadership in an in-person NYC environment
Desired
- Understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue analytics, or usage-based business models
- Experience supporting usage-based pricing, billing, or data pipelines
- Exposure to healthcare, AI, or operational technology environments
- Degree from a top-tier university (STEM or quantitative discipline preferred)
- Track record of designing or optimizing financial and operational systems
- Interest in healthcare innovation and building technology that improves real-world outcomes
What's In It for You
- Competitive compensation ($160K–$200K base)
- Meaningful ownership and visibility with executive leadership
- Opportunity to build the financial foundation of a scaling, mission-driven tech company
- Small, collaborative NYC team with mentorship from top-tier startup veterans
- Unlimited PTO, education stipend, and high-impact offsites
