We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Process Engineer Engineer who is passionate about turning concepts into reality while iterating on existing solutions. You will do this by providing technical leadership for all balance-of-plant process engineering and support the scale-up of the company's hydrogen technology platforms. You should have experience in process engineering, working with high-temperature processes, and innovation environments. You will report directly to the VP of Engineering and provide technical leadership for the Engineering & Operations team, tackling critical process engineering challenges during the engineering design phase of our scaled-up process.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
1. Technical expertise: You should have extensive industry experience and applicable process engineering experience, working with high-temperature processes.
2. Leadership and collaboration: You should be able to provide technical leadership and tactical direction for all balance-of-plant process engineering, and collaborate effectively with other engineers, including mechanical and electrical engineering leads.
3. Process engineering skills: You should have experience with process simulations, defining process constraints and system requirements, leading technical reviews of engineering design packages, and developing process control philosophies, cause and effect studies, and automation plans.
4. Regulatory compliance knowledge: You should have knowledge of applicable industry codes, regulations, and standards for oil and gas and hydrogen processes.
5. Project management: You should have experience in engineering project cost estimation, leading technology evaluation and down-selection, and preparing technical scope of work for RFP packages.
6. Communication: You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as they will need to engage with EPCs for process engineering development activities and work closely with the VP of Engineering to build and manage work packages contracted out to EPCs and/or external design/build groups.
7. Flexibility and adaptability: You should be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
