Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead and manage the Emergency Department at our community hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping patient care and department operations, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team development.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Department Operations: Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient patient throughput, safe staffing levels, and sufficient supplies and equipment.
- Leadership and Development: Mentor and invest in team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring completion of annual competencies.
- Quality and Compliance: Drive evidence-based clinical practices, ongoing quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Budget Management: Develop, implement, and oversee the department budget to ensure fiscal responsibility and resource optimization.
- Collaboration: Partner with the CNO and Administrative Team to communicate critical information and align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
What You Need for This Position:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state.
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in an Emergency Department within the last 5 years.
We'd Be Delighted if You Have:
- Master's degree (MSN, MHA, or similar) preferred.
- Experience working in a community hospital Emergency Department.
