What You Will Be Doing:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on Client control systems.
  • Handle advanced controls installations, programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Conduct planned maintenance and inspections as per service agreements.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
  • Complete service contracts, quoted projects, and demand service calls.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, explaining work performed to their satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document project status to all project stakeholders.
  • Serve as a front-line resource to service technicians, providing technical support and training.
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors and train technicians.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate multi-tech service calls.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicles.
  • Use technology/software to create and modify programming such as graphics, databases, and sequences.
What You Need for This Position:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 7+ years of Controls Technician experience.
  • Experience with JCI Metasys, Tridium AX/N4, Distech, Siemens, and Siemens Desigo.
  • Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
  • Hands-on experience with controls platforms such as Siemens, Distech, JCI, Inet.
  • Access controls and lighting controls installation and programming skills.
  • Advanced controls programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and software.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
