We are seeking a Sales Application Engineer to provide technical product design and integration, ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of reliability and manufacturability.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with account managers and customers to develop fluid flow system layouts and resolve system-level issues, acting as the engineering point of contact.

  • Design and integrate exhaust products and systems for both on-highway and off-highway markets to meet customer requirements.

  • Create and maintain detailed models and system-level Bills of Materials.

  • Generate specifications for products, including 2D prints and engineering specifications.

  • Coordinate technical support work, including mechanical design, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses, acoustical, flow and vibration testing, drafting, and prototypes.

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost reduction, ensuring DFM (Design for Manufacturability) is implemented.

  • Maintain and manage project schedules, review and approve customer print conformance, and perform on-site testing and presentations.

  • Travel to customer and supplier sites as needed (10-25% travel required).

What You Need for This Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.

  • 2 plus years of experience in product design using solid modeling tools (Inventor preferred).

  • Proficiency in CAD modeling and print creation.

  • Project management skills.

We'd be really excited if you have:

  • Basic understanding of acoustics and knowledge of vehicle chassis systems.

  • Familiarity with exhaust components and aftertreatment technologies.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and basic .NET programming skills.
